UCR School of Medicine & St. Bernardine - Internal Medicine PGY-2 Resident Positions

The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine / St Bernardine Medical Center new Internal Medicine Residency Program in Riverside, California is looking to fill 15 PGY-2 positions to start July 1, 2021. This program just received initial accreditation from ACGME for 55 residents. PGY1 positions are solicited through ERAS. The training sites include St. Bernardine Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, San Gorgonio Hospital and UCR Clinics. UCRSOM also hosts fellowship training programs in Cardiovascular medicine, Interventional cardiology, Gastrointestinal diseases, and Critical care medicine currently and more are planned.

Applications are being sought from degreed candidates eligible for licensure in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must have satisfactorily completed 12 months of required experience in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency training program. Applicants must submit their Current CV, three letters of recommendation (one letter must be from your current Program Director which verifies that you are a PGY1 in good standing and are expected to satisfactorily complete training by June 30, 2021 (or letter of satisfactory completion of a PGY1 position in Internal Medicine and one additional letter from another faculty member within the current program). USMLE transcript for steps 1, 2, and 3 (COMLEX is also acceptable), a list of completed rotations including dates, milestone evaluations, and a cover letter explaining reason for leaving current program in favor of this program are required in order for your application to be complete. Applicants must also show proof of current BLS and ACLS certifications, be ECFMG certified and have a current PTL (if applicable).
