National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases - Postdoctoral Research

Position Background:

A postdoctoral research position is available in the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), Intramural Research Program (IRP) at the NIH, Bethesda Campus. This position will be sponsored by the NIAMS Career Development and Outreach Branch (CDOB). The NIAMS intramural research program (IRP) conducts innovative basic, translational, and clinical research in a number various research areas. The world-class investigators, staff and trainees in the IRP work to gain new insights into the normal function of the immune system, bones, joints, muscles, and skin, and the diseases that affect them, and translate these insights into novel diagnostic tools and treatments. The IRP is supported by cutting-edge core facilities and interacts with the other intramural programs at the NIH, one of the premier sites in the world where biomedical research and clinical investigation are combined on one campus. We seek highly motivated, collaborative and creative individuals with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD and less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Previous experience in cellular/molecular biology, genomics, gene expression, systems biology, and bioinformatics, is desirable. The candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills.
