Community House Physician provides assistance to the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Obtains history and physical on all patients within 24 hours of admission or prior to surgery or other invasive procedures. All history and physicals must be authenticated by an attending physician. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience. Education: Florida licensed MD or D.O-or- Med school grad possessing and MD or D.O. degree and a Florida training license -or- Graduate of a foreign medical school and possession of an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or qualified to sit for the ECFMG exam. Licensure Certification: Valid Florida licensed MD or D.O-or- Med school grad possessing and MD or D.O. degree and a Florida training license -or- Graduate of a foreign medical school and possession of an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or qualified to sit for the ECFMG exam. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required. Knowledge Skill Abilities: Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications. Strong patient care orientation, self motivation, and good interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team player are required. Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems. Knowledge of instruments and procedures verified by skills checklist.
