Kaiser Permanente Medical Group - Ob/Gyn PGY-1 Resident Position

PGY-1 position is now available at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California.  We hope to fill the position by September 1st . There is a different application process if you are currently unmatched or if you are currently in a program. 

Please carefully read each process below.

 

 If the applicant is currently unmatched or a PGY2 then the applicant should submit the following to the Program Manager,

Joel Barcelona, joel.barcelona@kp.org :

(1) cover letter describing your current professional obligation and interest in our open position, (2) copy of your ERAS application including MSPE, (4) an updated CV, (4) USMLE transcript,

(5) three letters of recommendation. 

 

If the applicant is currently a PGY1 resident and interested in this position, please DO NOT CONTACT US until after the applicant has been in their training program for a minimum of 45 days

(August 15th for a July 1 start date)

unless you have an NRMP waiver. 

It would be a violation for a matched applicant to contact our program before the 45-day minimum. After August 15th, the applicant should submit the following to the Program Manager,

(1) cover letter describing your reason for leaving your current program and interest in our open position, (2) copy of your ERAS application or an updated CV, (3) letter of recommendation from your current program director also verifying your good standing, (4) letters of recommendation from other faculty (can be updated from your initial ERAS application or new faculty), (5) USMLE transcript, (6) list of completed rotations including dates, (7) summative competency-based performance evaluation, and (8) updated ACGME OpLog case summary.  

 

If the applicant is currently a PGY2 resident then the applicant should submit the following to the Program Manager,

(1) cover letter describing your reason for leaving your current program and interest in our open position, (2) copy of your ERAS application or an updated CV, (3) letter of recommendation from your current program director also verifying your good standing,

(4) 2 letters of recommendation from other faculty, (5) USMLE transcript, (6) list of completed rotations including dates, (7) summative competency-based performance evaluation, and (8) updated ACGME OpLog case summary. 

 

Additional documents may be requested.
