The Division of Surgical Oncology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and the Seidman Cancer Center is offering a mentored, paid research fellowship position for 1-2 years to qualified medical school graduates and surgical residents interested in a career in surgery or oncology. We are especially interested in recruiting curious and ambitious physician researchers eager to contribute knowledge and understanding to breast surgery and breast cancer fields. Research fellows will have dedicated mentoring by Dr. Megan Miller, Dr. Jill Dietz, Dr. Robert Shenk, and colleagues. Experience with clinical research including biostatistics, database design and analysis, clinical trials, and manuscript writing is preferred but not required. Goals include first-author manuscript submission and publication, grant preparation and submission, as well as presentations at national meetings. Strong communication skills are required but international applicants are welcome.
