Sleep Clinic - Clinical Coordinator/Patient Advocate

( MD, DO or foreign equivalent ) unmatched, awaiting residency placement.
This is NOT a residency program.
Assist and shadow physicians & midlevel providers; Coordinate any aspect of clinical operations to improve patient care
* Essential Job Functions :
Under the complete supervision of licensed providers, you will be trained in: history-taking; physical exam; writing H&Ps and progress notes; presenting to Attendings; developing differential diagnoses, assessments & plans; fundamentals of sleep medicine
* Other duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Scan and enter patient information into EMR; Fax orders, prescriptions & referrals; ICD10 and CPT Coding & Billing; Complete insurance Prior Authorization, appeal, and Certificate of Medical Necessity forms; Write letters; Medical transcription; Reception; Scheduling; Triage; Communicate with office personnel, billers, insurance companies, DME companies; Coordinate care with other providers
Set up Home Sleep Tests; Patient education; Mask fitting; Advocate for patients who cannot afford supplies or adhere to PAP therapy
Medical writing; Developing educational material; Literature searches; Continuing Medical Education; Community outreach; Public Relations

* Minimum Qualifications
Medical School Graduate ***M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent***

Basic computer skills
Willing to relocate to the Chattanooga, Tennessee area or within reasonable commuting distance.
