The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who will work under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Spicer and under the direct supervision of the Biobank Platform Manager. The incumbent will perform activities as the ‘’Personalize my Treatment’’ (PMT) agent for the Exactis initiative at the RI-MUHC.
Act as the local PMT representative to help launch PMT activities at the site,
Coordinate with clinical teams and lead PMT training,
Assist with maintenance of Institution-specific, regulatory, ethical and training documentation, in coordination with Biobank staff,
Perform and/or coordinate Participant recruitment, informed consent and registration - explain study and answer questions,
Administer and record answers for Participant questionnaires,
For consenting Participants, conduct follow-up, data collection and data entry into the PMT Databank (either directly, or via a local databank system), in coordination with Biobank staff,
Perform database maintenance and quality control,
Fill out Case Report Forms (CRFs) as specified by Exactis,
Update datasets as needed,
Retrieve clinical information from medical charts and electronic records and enter data into biobank data management system,
Perform and/or coordinate biospecimen shipment,
Assist with biospecimen collection, processing and storage as required, in coordination with Biobank staff,
Prepare reports on completed tasks,
Complete all other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or director.

DEC in sciences,
BSc considered an asset,
Foreign medical graduates (with valid work visa) are welcome to apply,
Previous experience working in a clinical / healthcare environment, including interaction with patients and clinical personnel (nurses, technicians and physicians),
Ability to work independently,
Strong interpersonal skills and motivation,
Good communication skills, English and French (spoken and written),
Working knowledge of and experience with basic laboratory techniques,
Working knowledge of PC word processing and spreadsheet software.
Status: Full-time, 1-year mandate (possibility for renewal) Pay Scale: Commensurate to experience and qualifications Work Shift: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays / Schedule subject to change – flexibility required Work Site: CTB – MGH and Glen sites
