Post-Doctoral Research Program Position in Trauma / General Surgery: Our Post-Doctoral Research Program has an opening for a 2-year Trauma / General Surgery position starting July 2019 (end date June 2021). We offer a comprehensive research training program with a proven record of 75% overall post-fellowship residency match rate (including General Surgery Residency). Two year commitment required due to structured curricular elements of the program. Post-Doctoral Fellows participate in General Surgery conferences / curriculum, and are offered to take the in-training examination. Our fellows publish an average of 12 manuscripts (original papers, reviews, chapters) during their tenure. Local, regional, and national presentations are expected. Their in-training exam scores are comparable to current intern scores. Highly competitive candidate interview / selection process. Salary with health benefits will be provided.
1) Graduate of U.S. Allopathic or U.S. Osteopathic medical school,
or International Medical Graduate
(U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
who completed medical school abroad)
2) Good track record on USMLE exams, with no recorded failures. For IMG candidates, Step 3 is encouraged
(and will be expected during the two years with us)
3) Excellent medical school record is expected,
with Dean’s letters and official transcript provided
4) Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, EndNote referencing software, Powerpoint, and Excel is required;
Knowledge of REDCap system encouraged
