The University of Illinois at Chicago – Mount Sinai Hospital General Surgery Program has an opening for a PGY-3 categorical position to begin July 1, 2019. Mount Sinai Hospital is a 250 bed teaching hospital located just west of downtown Chicago. It provides a wide array of high quality medical, surgical, behavioral health, therapeutic and diagnostic services in an urban environment and is a very busy adult Level 1 Trauma Center. The General Surgery Residency Program graduates 3 Chief Residents per year.
Qualified applicants will have successfully completed at least a PGY-1 and PGY-2 years in general surgery residency in good standing in an ACGME-accredited program by June 30, 2019. We can only accept a US citizen or permanent resident with work authorization (no exceptions!). Foreign Medical Graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate. • Current curriculum vitae • 2 current letters of recommendation (one from Program Director)
